Teeth whitening
Teeth whitening can be one of the simplest and least expensive ways to improve your smile. Teeth can be bleached within the dental clinic, which involves a simple visit for a mould to be taken of your teeth, followed by another visit to fit your bleaching trays. You will be asked to wear the tray a few hours a day. You should then start to notice a difference within days and we will review you, to see how things are progressing. It’s that easy!
Dental Crown
A dental crown, also called a cap, fits over and replaces the entire decayed or damaged tooth above the gum line, restoring its shape, size, strength, and appearance. Crowns can keep a weak tooth from breaking or hold a cracked tooth together; they can be used cosmetically to cover misshapen or severely discoloured teeth. Crowns can be made from metal, porcelain-fused-to-metal, resin, zirconia or ceramic.
Dental Bonding
In dental bonding, a tooth-coloured durable resin is applied to the tooth and hardened with an ultraviolet or laser light, bonding the material to the tooth. The resin is then shaped and polished.
Bonding can repair decayed, chipped, cracked, or misshapen teeth. It is also a good cosmetic alternative to crowns or veneers. Bonding normally takes about 30 to 60 minutes.
Teeth Straightening (Orthodontics)
Dental braces can straighten crooked or misaligned teeth and works by applying continuous pressure over a period of time to slowly move teeth in a specific direction with a dental brace.
Dental Implants
Dental implants are titanium replacements for tooth roots that are gently inserted into the bone socket of the missing tooth. As the jawbone heals, it grows around the implanted metal post, anchoring it securely in the jaw and providing a foundation for a replacement tooth. Dental implants are a great solution for people with missing teeth.
Inlays and Onlays
Inlays and onlays can be made from gold, porcelain, or composite materials, and fill decayed or damaged teeth. They are created in a dental laboratory and bonded into place by a dentist, and they are designed to preserve as much healthy tooth as possible.
Inlays and onlays are an alternative to crowns.
Dental Bridge
A dental bridge is a number of crowns for the teeth on either side of a gap with false teeth in between.
Dentures
A denture is a removable replacement for missing teeth. These can be a great and cost-effective solution for people with lots of missing teeth and an alternative to dental implants or bridges.
Dental Veneers
Dental veneers are wafer-thin, custom-made shells of tooth-coloured porcelain or resin that cover the front surface of the teeth, changing their colour, shape, size, or length.
SPORTSGUARDS
A sportsperson undertaking any level of contact sport that requires a mouthguard should ideally get a custom-made mouthguard from a dentist.
Cheaper boil and bite mouthguards can be used but they are often poorly fitting, can be loose on talking and not as comfortable.
If you don't wear a mouth guard and you are hit in the face, the teeth can come together with such force that they can be broken. This can have long-term costs both financially and psychologically. So, ideally everyone who should wear a sports mouthguard, should wear a custom- made one.
