Outreach work

Rossendale dental health centre have been working hard over the last year to stay in contact with young school children during the Covid 19 pandemic to ensure children are maintaining a healthy diet and good oral hygiene during this difficult period.

Traditionally these visits would take place face to face with children in school, however this is currently not possible. However, we have been using virtual school visits recently, which have proven to be very successful with schools involved such as St, peters Newchurch, St James, Haslingden, St Marys, Bacup

Training

Rossendale dental health centre has recently been chosen as one of only three practices in the North west of England to be given the opportunity to train oral surgery and general dentistry to recently graduated students from dental schools nationally.

Principal practitioner Shane Morgan stated “It is an honour to be chosen for this training scheme and we feel it reflects on the quality of the staff and training provided by the practice.”

Achievements

At Rossendale dental health centre all staff maintain high standards and are continually updating their skills and undertaking continuing professional development.

Dentist, Elliott Mason recently wrote an article regarding training experience in dental practice. The article has been chosen to be published nationally in 2021, by a prestigious medical journal. All the team at RDHC would like to say “Congratulations Elliot, we are all very proud of you

Supporting the NHS

To aid in halting the spread of Covid-19, there have been different restrictions placed in differing location across the nation and some dental practices have been closed. Our practice has remained open throughout this crisis and we have been asked by the NHS to help in giving access to emergency dental care for patients across Lancashire.

We are however open for other regular NHS and private dental treatments for our patients. If you would like an appointment, please email [email protected] or call us on 01706 836130.

Protecting our patients

Our top priority is patient safety and your wellbeing. If you require an appointment at our practice, you may find that there have been some changes in how you access the practice, the PPE used and appointments for some treatments may take a little longer.

Alternatively, you can wait for us to contact you via email or text for your usual recall appointment. Please be reassured that although some of these routine annual or 6 monthly appointments may be delayed due the Covid crisis, you will be contacted moving forward.

Urgent treatment

If you require an urgent appointment, we have daily emergency slots, and you would normally be seen the same day.
